Privacy Statement
Why does CWO exist?
CWO exists in order to campaign for the ordination of women in the Roman Catholic Church, and to examine, challenge and develop the understanding of priesthood and other ordained ministries in a renewed Roman Catholic Church.
CWO is your, the members’, organisation. Our work is carried out by ourselves, on your behalf, as NatCog volunteers. No-one is paid. Help is always welcome – please see Contact details below.
What is a Privacy Statement?
A Privacy Statement explains what information we hold about you, why we hold it, how we protect it for you, and how you can have your information removed from our files if you so wish. This Statement explains how our policies and procedures take account of the May 2018 General Data Protection Regulation.
What information do we hold about you and why?
We are a campaigning body, not a charity, and we hold only the necessary minimum of information about our members. This covers your name, address, contact details including email, and your membership status (for example, when you are due to renew your membership). Our Membership form also allows you the option to be put in touch with other local members in your area. We hold this information solely on your behalf, so that we can fulfil our obligations to you and to CWO.
Who do we share your personal information with?
No-one. Privacy is extremely important to CWO.
CWO does not share your personal information with any marketing or data campaign. As a Member, only you choose whether or not to contribute to CWO’s social media or public campaigns.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep our Membership and subscription lists up to date. We also keep an email list of Friends who wish us well, with whom we share our progress, and Journalists for publicity purposes.
What are our responsibilities and your rights?
We always take exceptional care over your privacy. You always have the right to see information that we hold about you, or to ask us to remove it. We will always observe your wishes in the matter.
You can email or write to us here. We are always happy to hear from you!
